Breakfast Party

Cynthia was so excited when her friend asked her to create a pajama breakfast party for her granddaughter’s college send off, before these young adults left home and took flight in the next chapter of their lives.

Celebrating the distant memories of childhood sleepovers we created a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere, with a dress-code twist! Whether the guests were wearing a summer dress, or their favorite pair of pajamas, no one looked out of place!  A true celebration of sleepovers-past!

Over weeks of planning and coordination, this event’s menu was inspired by the granddaughter’s favorite childhood foods, with a bit of Cafe Danielle flair! Oatmeal creme brûlée, sugar & maple glazed donut pops, and silver-dollar-size chocolate chip pancakes (with accompanying flavored syrups) were just a few of the items on the menu! Of course, no breakfast is complete without scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and southern style biscuits - so we threw those in as well!

And remember, the key to any delicious breakfast is great bacon, which is why the most difficult part of this event was keeping our plates of brown sugar bacon stocked! A good problem to have indeed!

Although exceptional food is a key component to a memorable breakfast party, we also had the pleasure of hosting some activities. The girls had manicures and massages pool-side, all while playing their favorite childhood games like hop-scotch, twister, blowing bubbles, and swimming.

The coming-of-age theme truly came to life with a delightful combination of childhood toys like animal rafts floating in the pool, hula-hoops, and gorgeous bouquets of flowers.
